Chris Turpin
Tell me about your history. Where you grew up? How you started skiing and what led you to move to Whistler?
I was born in Kamloops, BC but raised in Red Deer, AB (yuck, so flat and boring). After High School and a brief stint in the Canadian Artillery, I found myself tree planting near my roots, back in BC. At the end of the session a co-worker sparked the idea of moving to Whistler. I followed through, not knowing it was going to change my life in the most amazing way.

What influences your skiing?
The snow conditions, who I’m riding with, and the play list I’m listening to.
Do you get paid to ski?
No
What’s your “other” or “real” job?
Coaching skiing. That does not count as getting paid to ski.
Other passions in life?
Fishing, hunting, camping, Lifeing.
Any nicknames?
Turp, Turpin, one day I would like it to be Mr.T.
Tell me about something that defines who you are besides skiing?
I’m a hard working, creative thinking, pain in the ass.
