PY Leblanc
Well you send PY an interview and he answers everything in one go. Kinda like how he skis, in his own way and on his own terms. Below is the interview.
Mountains are my life and I have deep respect for their power, their ability to render you tiny, and love to spend time riding them with close friends and family. I was ripping Sutton’s sous bois and winning races very early on. Bigger mountains called and I left Quebec for BC, freeriding on my snowboard between Nelson, Rossland, Rogers Pass, and Revelstoke. In 1999, I entered the Sunshine Village Extreme Challenge on skis and won, joined the Atomic Freeride Team, and have lived in Pemberton ever since. I earned a living skiing, competing, and filming for 10 years, combining my years of snowboarding and ski racing to rip big lines fast, take huge air, and playfully hit every feature in deep pow. Two years ago, though, my focus turned to family, necessity brought me to carpentry, and I now have a son, with another little one on the way. The deep snows this year, however, called me back to skiing and re-ignited my passions. Now that there is product to ride that enhances one’s abilities instead of hindering them, I have gone back to my ski roots. I am focused on exploring mountains on my sled and skis, being real, and communing with nature to realize my ultimate self, surrounded by bros and the Dendrite massive.
