Not Another Ghost Town is a film that features the town of Burns Lake and the incredible riding that is present. In January of 2012, the community experienced great loss when the local lumber mill caught fire. Having already been crippled due to the devastating effects of Pine Beetle, the community has battled through adversity for many years. Through all of the down turn, mountain biking has been steadily rising and even thriving. With partnerships between many user groups, the Burns Lake Mountain Association has achieved a lot in recent years. The main riding area now boosts many DH and XC trails, a dozen or so campsites, a lake, dock, and the best part is, it’s all free. Whether searching for a family friendly destination off the beaten path or making a pit stop along the highways of northern B.C., Burns Lake is a place worth checking out.
